Doepfer’s A-179-2 is a Light-to-CV controller with a built-in photoresistor that generates CV and gates. A simple idea that can become helpful in many performances or installations, the A-179-2 sends out higher voltage when more light is applied and fires off a gate at a specific threshold. There’s also an inverted CV output, so you can have brighter light dip the voltage down instead. An external sensor is provided with a 2 meter patch cable, so your light source is not bound to your rack.
